If you are burning a CD (CD-R, not CD+R) with your song on it, put 2-3 copies of it in a row. Do not assume I have your song.
  • Shoes that can turn/swivel on a wood floor, nothing sticky at the bottom
  • Payment is only by cash or cheque (no debit or credit card)
  • An additional $25 during your first lesson (see policy below)

  • Your enthusiasm!

Note to Brides: The dress you wear while dancing your "first dance" cannot be touching the floor. It must be bustled or pinned up.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Wedding Dance and Private Lessons

Wedding dance lessons are private lessons. Once you've booked a private lesson, you must cancel by 2:00pm two business days before your lesson to avoid a cancellation charge. For example, if you lesson is booked on Sat, you must cancel by Thurs 2pm. If you cancel after the time limit or don't show up, you must pay a $25 cancellation charge. Even if you booked a lesson for the next day, it is too late to cancel so you are obligated to show up or pay $25.

Because of this policy, you must pay an additional $25 that will be used as credit toward your next/final lesson. If you decide not to continue with additional lessons, that $25 will be returned to you.

Unfortunately, this also means that if you are suddenly ill within two days of your lesson, you still owe the $25 cancellation charge. This is because it would be too late for us to find a substitute couple to take you place. Also your substitute lesson also means we cannot teach another couple during that substitute time slot (ie, you missed lesson actually occupies two time slots). This policy is strict, especially during the wedding season of May to Sep inclusive.

A private lesson is for an individual or a couple to get dance instruction on a specific dance or dances. The have the flexibility of being booked whenever you are available (group classes are weekly at the same day and time). Semi-private means a small group but more than 2 people with the flexibility of private lessons.

Group Classes

For Latin-Ballroom and Salsa-Nightclub group classes, the cancellation policy is as such:

  • Prior to 1 week before your class starts, 100% credit minus $10 administrative fee per person.
  • Between 1 week to the end of the second class, 50% credit.
  • After the second class, no credit.
Any credited money is to be kept as a credit toward future classes (some exceptions may apply).

Why is the policy so strict? First of all most dance studios never give a refund. Secondly all our classes get full 3-4 weeks before the start of class.

There are no refunds/credits for missed group classes.
