Salsa Dance Party Thurs 2003-03-13

Toronto Dance is a co-sponsor of a Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) Salsa Night, raising funds for diabetes. All money raised (not including cash bar) will go directly to the CDA. Our instructors Rocky Fuda and Sharon Galor will be giving a free Salsa lesson starting 9:00pm. There will be a warm-up lesson at 8:00pm by another instructor. Dance until 2:00am! There is also a door prize of a fabulous DVD player!

The public event is held at AfterLife (formerly Limelight) Nightclub, located at 250 Adelaide St. W. (near University Ave and King St). The newly renovated nightclub has a huge dance floor on the 3rd floor with a maximum capacity of 250 people! Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. If you wish to make an additional charitable donation, you can request a receipt for any amount of $15 or more.

For current and past Toronto Dance Salsa students, come out and celebrate the conclusion of your Jan to Mar classes and help at good cause at the same time!

Post-Party Report: The party was well-attended with 105 people! Olga taught about 50 people starting around 8:30pm. Rocky rocked the house by teaching spicy moves.

Burn The Floor Dance Demo and Class Fri Mar 7

Some cast members of the show Burn The Floor will be doing a dance demo and a class on the following occassions:

• Fri March 7: Eaton's Centre, 12:00-1:30pm
• Fri March 7: Court House, 11:00pm

Outing for Swing students Fri 2003-02-28

This is a special outing for the Toronto Dance students taking Swing. Your instructor, Lynn Wilsher, is taking you out to a Toronto Swing Dance Society dance and lesson. The lesson this time is on West Coast Swing, which is an enjoyable type of Swing. So join her for a good night of dancing.

Valentine's Dance Party for Beginners Fri 2003-02-14

Toronto Dance is hosting a Valentine's Dance Party for Beginners. This is a party for Toronto Dance students and their friends as well as beginner students of the University of Toronto Ballroom Dance Club. Other beginners are welcome but contact Toronto Dance first. Here's your chance to use your dance skills in a social setting and socialize with your fellow dancers and friends. See what the other classes are learning.

You must buy advance tickets before the party.

Toronto Dance Dance Demo on Sat Feb 8

Toronto Dance is hosting a 5-Dance demo by Chuan and Jean Chee on Saturday Feburary 8. It will occur at the Toronto General Fitness Centre during the first regular bi-weekly practice session held there. See practice sessions for details. The demo will show Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Four couples from Toronto Dance will show beginner Cha Cha and Jive.

Salsa Outing to Panorama Lounge Mon Feb 3

Our Salsa teachers Rocky Fuda and Sharon Galor are teaching at the Panorama Lounge on Mon Feb 3 9:30-10:30pm. For $5, you will get a 1-hour lesson and an evening of dancing. The lessons will be beginner Salsa.

The Panorama Lounge is on the 51st floor of the Manulife Building at Bloor and Bay. You will also get a great view of the city! If you need to call the lounge, please call 416-967-0000.

Outing for Swing students Fri 2003-01-24
