Northridge Club (Sports Clubs of Canada)

This is an aerobics room within a fitness centre in North York. Toronto Dance conducts dance classes in Salsa-Nightclub at this location. We used to teach Latin-Ballroom at this location. Northridge Club members get a discount of $1/h off their group classes.

Note: This hall has air-conditioning and free validated parking (please check the rules below. You can get to this location directly from the TTC subway without going outside.

Building Location and Directions

Northridge Club is located in the North American Centre (Xerox Tower) at 5650 Yonge St. (north-west corner of Yonge and Finch, North York). It is one floor below ground level, near the TTC subway exit.

Directions via Driving

Drive along Yonge St to Finch. See the street map above and parking directions below.

Directions via TTC

Go on the Yonge-University line to the Finch subway station. Exit the subway toward the west side of Yonge St. When you exit the subway station, you will immediately see entrance to the North American Centre.

Go through the doors and turn left, heading towards the Xerox Tower.

Look for the Northridge Club entrance at the bottom of the escalator (see the entrance photo above).

Directions from outdoors

Go to the north-west corner of Yonge and Finch. Look for this building:

Go into the building, look for escalators, and go down one floor. Look for the Northridge Club entrance at the bottom of the escalator (see the entrance photo above).

Dance Hall

Go through the main entrance of the fitness centre. Check in with the attendance list at the front desk (you are not allowed in unless you are on the Toronto Dance attendance list). Go down a set of stairs and turn left and enter an exercise room that looks like the following photo:

Parking

There is free parking in the North American Centre building. If you bring your parking slip to the reception desk (and you are taking a Toronto Dance class), they will validate your parking for up to 3 hours.

Here are the parking rules:

• You must be a member of Sports Clubs of Canada or be a Toronto Dance student attending a dance class
• Park in the Xerox Tower in levels P3, P4 or P5
• Entrance to the parking is off Finch Ave and off Hendon Ave
• Bring your parking ticket to the reception and it will be validated
• Parking is free after 4pm, weekends and statuatory holidays
