wedding dance choreography for a couples "first dance" at their wedding
reception.
Toronto Dance was featured dance studio on the CBC Radio Newsworld (nationwide news) on Tue 2007-01-16 6:15pm. It was on for 2.5 mins. It was mainly about the increase in popularity of Latin-Ballroom classes. TV shows such as "Dancing With The Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance" and the stage play of "Dirty Dancing" and "Burn The Floor" help to raise awareness of ballroom and latin dancing.
There is an introduction prior to the radio broadcast:
In Toronto and other cities across Canada a growing number of people are trading their winter footware for high heal stilettos and patent leather shoes. Ballroom is on the rise. On the television, in the theatre and even in the local nightclubs, people are rediscovering the pleasure and the pain of the Tango, the Foxtrot and the Rumba. CBC Arts reporter Eli Glasner surveyed the scene to find out what's driving people back to the ballroom dance floor.
Please
to download an mp3 (2.5 MB) of the radio broadcast.
Toronto Dance was listed in the Toronto Life booklet "Health & Fitness".
